Little Italy Neighborhood Fort Lauderdale

Little Italy Assoc. is a grass roots organization of local business people striving to promote in and around the Galt Ocean Mile and North Beach area as a Little Italy of Fort Lauderdale.  The area centered just north of Oakland Park Blvd and A1A and has natural boundaries created be being mostly nestled between the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the Intracoastal waterway on the west. The proposed neighborhood boundaries will extend over the Oakland Park Bridge westward for a few blocks so as to include many more Italian businesses and a catholic church in that area as well.  The north boundary will be Lauderdale by the Sea and the South Boundary is Fort Lauderdale Beach. The area is already considered by many to be a natural Little Italy area and it continues to grow as more Italians move in from varying parts of Italy and Italian-Americans keep retiring in the area from NJ, NY, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and other places mostly in the northeast.
The organization is currently being launched in time for Columbus Day 2017.  We have three board members and are planning to grow fast.  The goals of the association are to promote the area and its local businesses and assist in other projects such as beautification, public safety.  Our association represents member businesses, the local residents and property owners in the area.
Our group encourages feedback and input.  To become a member or get involved in the Columbus Day Street Celebration please contact us at:
